Bulletin! The switch to digital even affects boaters. Starting Feb. 1, 2009 the Coast Guard no longer monitors analog distress signals transmitted from the older Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRBs). A new digital EPIRB is a great gift idea for boat owners!
